Today this means that I bought brand-new stuff, but it was needed.
After constantly being the kid that always gets the ‘leftovers’ I came to the realisation that my youngest son needed new shoes, and considering the fact that he NEVER seems to get brand new stuff – today was the day.
And it wasn’t just the shoes.
It was the new laces, the new socks, and the new shoes.
My daughter is currently walking around proud-as-punch in her ‘new’ jacket – luckily this came via her Gran as a part of her birthday present. I had just given away her old jacket due to it being 4 sizes to small for her, and the following week she gets the new one.
So even when I am recycling and passing on the old stuff – it never seems that we are getting less stuff.
There is always something ‘new’ coming into the house … how does that happen?
