I love Mondays.
The possibilities, opportunities, organization … It all can happen on a Monday.
The weekend wasn’t great, or the week before turned into a sick-fest. Maybe you fell into a yelling match with your 12 year old, and struggled through the 2 year old tantrums all weekend. Maybe you just didn’t quite manage to BE the parent that you wanted to be, not quite patient enough, or loving enough, not present enough …. All of this stuff happens, all of it understandable, but this is why Monday can be so great – we can re-write our script, re- energize our goals, and leave the guilt, worry, stress of the weekend and the week before behind us.
For me this week, I’m heading back to healthy eating, and good wellness habits. Green smoothies for breakfast, salads for lunch, not buying chocolate at the supermarket, and putting away the wine glasses. This morning I was up with the birds and straight out of bed, a few stretches, some meditation, and starting the day with mellow music. My weekly planner was written up before 7am, and I was relaxed as the kids got up and into the day.
