The second week into a term is an important one.
This is when you need to re-connect with teachers after parent/ teacher interviews.
This is when you set the tone for the term ahead.
I understand if you are busy, but we can all whip off an email to our children’s teachers as we watch TV in the evening, or tap out a message while we are beside the swimming pool watching our kids lessons, or beside the field watching hockey trials. Take a couple of minutes to ask some questions, check in, just say hi, and request that they get in touch if anything comes up following the interview.
Ask for some feedback on the goals that you’ve set for the term …
Don’t get to the end of the term AGAIN, and still not have been involved.
This is my thought for the beginning of the week.
Education is a two- pronged attack on our kids, school and parents, so be on the road and be involved!
PS – if you need some help with this – flick me an email.
