So, I am tired this morning, and yet I’ve already made scones, and am waiting for a friend to visit.
Knowing my own personality means I know how to find energy when it seems to be completely missing from my morning.
I know that I need:
- adult conversation
- to feel like I’m getting positive feedback from my contributions
- to dream big, and make future plans
- to organise and finish a chore, or a task
Adult conversation is coming, I’m listening to an interesting podcast from someone who is very inspiring and used to be a speech writer for the White House in the USA, I’ve made some interesting morning tea for the kids, which is cooling on the bench, and I”m organising my thoughts to do my writing this morning so that by the time 10am comes by I’ve done what I can to bring my energy up.
This is important for the holidays – kids can drain a lot of energy out of parents and knowing what makes you feel better even if it is only in small sound-bites can help you get through a rough morning, or a tired start to the day.
