There are a lot of things on at the moment.
BBQ’s, end of year parties, work events, social events, and spontaneous invites to swimming at the lake, or playdates, and social opportunities.
My suggestion is to say “No” to some of these things. Not all of them. But definitely some of them.
No-one will de-friend you, or take offence if you have to say no to some of the activities on offer.
For me, I have had to say “No” to a family wedding, because it is my daughter’s ballet recital, and one of us at least has to play the parent for this. Of course, we will all go to the family BBQ the next day. These are the sorts of decisions that start to be needed. And don’t forget that actually sometimes we all need some downtime, where nothing is planned.
This is my Balance Tip for today – say “No”.
