Nobody is sick yet.
Nobody has lost the plot yet.
Nobody needs committed ….lol
But it’s getting close.
I’ve woken this morning with a bit of a rough throat, and a headache. There were a few sniffles from the kids at the end of yesterday, and the evenings are starting to get difficult to get kids to sleep as they are over-tired and wired.
I’ve been dragging the kids to work with me two afternoons a week, and yesterday I got a comment about how much longer that’s going to happen. Luckily only 3 more times as the College Production on Bats is about to get underway, but the comment was a reminder.
My kids need a day at home in their own space, with their own stuff, with some enforced down-time. Late night spelling competitions, and late night sports photos, plus everything else going on at school, which for my youngest includes 3 swimming lessons this week with the school programme and his own lesson. It’s crazy …. And I’m not easing up on them this weekend either.
Luckily there are only 3 more weekends of soccer games, and I am going to borrow, beg, and steal as much other free time as I can to help us get through the end of the term.
How are you helping your kids get through this busy time??
